The TiS-approved program, operated by Truth In Skincare.org (TiS), represents a commitment to promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability within the skincare industry.

By participating in this program, brands and media outlets (referred to hereafter as “Participants”) agree to adhere to the standards and procedures established by TiS, aimed at ensuring the reliability and ethical conduct of all approved entities. Participation begins with the submission of an application through the official TiS website, whereupon each applicant must provide comprehensive information and documentation for evaluation. It is at the sole discretion of TiS to determine the eligibility of an applicant based on their alignment with the program’s core values.

Upon successful vetting and approval, Participants are granted the privilege to use the TiS-approved logo on their websites, in stores, and across various marketing materials, subject to adherence to specific guidelines set forth by TiS. This logo signifies the Participant’s commitment to ethical practices and must not be altered in any manner. TiS reserves the right to monitor the use of the logo and may request modifications or revoke permission for its use if it is determined that the logo is being used inappropriately or in a manner contrary to the program’s objectives.

The TiS-approved status is conferred for a period of one year, necessitating annual renewal to ensure continued compliance with the evolving standards of transparency and integrity within the skincare industry. TiS retains the authority to revoke this status if a Participant is found to be in violation of these Terms and Conditions, engages in misleading or harmful practices, or fails to maintain the high standards required by the program. Participants are obliged to inform TiS of any significant operational changes that could affect their compliance status.

In the event of disputes related to these Terms and Conditions or the TiS Approved program, efforts will be made to achieve resolution through mediation, with arbitration as a final recourse if necessary. It is important to note that TiS will not be liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential, that arise from participation in the TiS-approved program or the use of the TiS-approved logo.

TiS reserves the right to make amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any time, with changes becoming effective upon the renewal date following their announcement. By applying for and participating in the TiS Approved program, Participants acknowledge their understanding of, agreement with, and commitment to these Terms and Conditions, affirming their dedication to upholding the highest standards of ethics and transparency in the skincare industry.
